DAYSTAR CELEBRATES ELEMENTARY GRADUATES!

Last Friday was another exciting and emotional day for many Daystar parents as they witnessed the culmination of our biggest graduating fifth grade students to date!

Hosted by two of our Middle School students, the afternoon festivities were full of memorable moments. Addresses from our Elementary Principal Sue Ha, from teachers, as well as from graduating parents and the students themselves helped provided us with everyone’s takeaway of what this occasion meant for them, and how it was such an incredible milestone.

We also presented graduating students with individual achievement awards, which included the arts, science, sports, languages and many other fields.

An individual memories slide show, highlighting each student’s favorite memory at Daystar so far brought a lof of laughter to the audience…especially one student’s observation that he will miss all those times he and his friends would try out different hairstyles in the bathroom!

Up next was the grade four performance, which had everyone on their feet! It was an energetic performance with lots of singing and a couple of pretty complicated dance moves! After that, the students showed their appreciation to all of their teachers for their wonderful support throughout the years by presenting them with beautiful bouquets of flowers.

Finally-the moment that everyone had been waiting for, the actual presentation of the graduation certificates. Students and parents beamed with pride as one by one, the 27 graduating students received their certificates from Ms. Sue Ha and Chinese Principal Guo Jiankang.

The ceremony ended with the grade five students dancing to the song “Best Day Of My Life” by the American Authors. Looking at all of them on stage, it seemed like only yesterday that they first entered Daystar as either Kindergarten students or first graders. How time flies!

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone for helping put together an amazing Graduation Ceremony. Andfor our fifth grade students…CONGRATULATIONS! We are incredibly proud of you. Here’s wishing you the very best for Middle School and beyond!
